Best of What's Around - Part II

Welcome to the 2nd page of my collection of "The Best Of" photos, in my opinion, captured by me. This page covers the timeframe of 2020-2022 April.

I got to travel a bit during the peak of the lockdown, which was a very interesting experience in itself. But also, the German government blessed us with an offer whereby I could travel through the whole of Germany, as a thank-you for sticking with the subscription model of payment for public transport. So naturally I took full advantage of that offer. This was before the 9 Euro ticket.

This post ends with a drone photo because that is when I got a drone to learn all the things that that particular piece of technology has to offer. (I like English)

In part 3, you will find "The Best Of" photos from 2022 onwards, which naturally will also include drone shots. I did film quite a lot of videos as well, but because drone videos are a beast of an effort that I have yet to tame, especially all the editing work required, I will not be sharing them at this moment. Maybe a link to an unlisted youtube playlist? Let's see...

I don't even know where or how to start the post this time. Dead Wishes of The Optimist

So... For once in a millennium, Blogger will be graced with a post by yours truly within the promised time frame in the last post. That really does happen very rarely. Almost as rare as the lone Russian guy/girl who stumbled upon this blog at the exact moment I chose to call Putin a "pimmel". At least I hope that you have access to an open internet with multiple sources of verified news, so you are at the very least aware of what is happening and why the situation is critical. Enough jibber-jabber. This post would also be more of an expressionist kind of deal rather than a tutorial or science thing. When I was traveling during the Omicron wave to India in December, I had thought I would try to vlog Casey Nesitat's style. In retrospect that was too ambitious of a goal. So the only thing that I ended up documenting was the train journey from Delhi railway station to Chandigarh, and even that was not exactly easy because of the timing situation with the flight and the train.

Servomotor Serendipity - Teil Zwei

 I was hoping to write the second part of the servo motor control part sooner... But you know how life and 2020, in general, have been. I don't really have anything new to say about the state of the world. It's still terrible, and only getting worse. Anyhow. Let's start with the servo stuff. In the last post, I tried to explain what a general servo is, and how the sermovotor I have differed from the ones you can buy from general hobby electronics shop.  TLDR Continous rotation High speed (up to 7000 RPM) Precise control - 0.1 Degrees accurate in rotation Inbuild microcontroller with Digital and Analog I/O Inbuilt temperature sensor based protection systes for overheating Daisy chaining with each motor having its own program stored inside So basically its in a different league.
